Welcome to the ON-LINE version of "The Chinnor Pump", the monthly parish magazine for the village of Chinnor in Oxfordshire.
The PAPER version of the Chinnor Pump continues as before and is delivered to all Chinnor residents at the beginning of the month.
The deadline for inclusion in the pump is the Penultimate Wednesday of the month.

Chinnor Good Neighbour Scheme need a new Chairperson

The Chinnor Good Neighbour Scheme need a new Chairperson to work with a small committee. This involves the administration of the scheme and liaising with organisations such as Volunteer Link Up, The position needs to be filled by the 1st of May.

Sing the Church Music of John Jarvis of Chinnor
Sunday 8th March 2026, 3pm to 6pm
At Chinnor Methodist Church
John Jarvis (1812-1899), cordwainer, boot maker and grocer, led the music at the Independent church at Chinnor, now known as Chinnor Community Church.
This event is being run in association with Wednesday Music, a group based at Chinnor Methodist Church. Admission free; donations to the Church welcome.

Saturday 21st February — Stuart Henderson’s Trumpet Legends
Mr Henderson was once HM Queen Elizabeth’s trumpeter — he’s now in civvie street and regarded as one of the UK’s finest players. His classical, jazz, folk and stage credentials are top-notch and he’s bringing us a show that illustrates how great trumpet players have shaped different genres through the decades. On stage with Stuart will be Dean Stockdale (piano), Paul Jefferies (bass) and Gaz Hughes (drums).
